IwiConnect allocates 5 percent of iwi engagement fees received through the platform to Te Pūtea Oranga Iwi, supporting iwi-led kaupapa such as marae, education, health, sport, and culture.
This allocation does not increase customer pricing and does not influence engagement outcomes.
How it works.
Once an iwi is onboarded and actively using the platform, it is automatically eligible for six monthly distributions. The pool is shared equally among all iwi who meet the active use threshold in that period, regardless of how many engagements they processed.
Distributions are paid directly to an authorised bank account in the name of the iwi. No application process, no paperwork beyond confirming account details.
